Our winery, La Collina Degli Amici, the Hill of Friends, was born of the collaboration of friends from the United States and Ukraine who met in Italy.
Owners Alice Outwater and Robert Lang purchased the vineyard property in Rocchetta Palafea during the pandemic in 2021. We are located in the foothills of the Monferrato region near Canelli and Nizza Monferrato in the village of Rocchetta Palafea.
We produce natural wines with minimal intervention, depending on the natural yeasts that bloom on the skin of the grapes. We manage our vineyards organically
From old vines we produce red, white, orange and sparkling wines. Our wines include Langhe Nebbiolo, Barbera D’Asti, NIZZA, dry Moscato and dry sparkling Brachetto
OUR TASTING
on the offers, a booking request will be sent to the winery, that will confirm your request.
FULL TASTING – 2h – € 25pp
Full tasting includes five wines along with local crackers, cheese and sausage.
We tour the vineyards and the winery, and may try some wines aging in the barrels or the concrete egg.
BASIC TASTING – 1h – € 15pp
A mini tasting includes 3 wines of your choice, also accompanied by local crackers, cheese and sausage.
It includes a brief vineyard and winery tour.
OUR PRODUCTS
PET-NAT – Sparkling White Wine
Brachetto 100% – Minimum 12 months in the bottle on the yeasts before disgorging.
FIORIGIALLI – White wine
Moscato Bianco 100% – 12 months in a stainless steel tank on fine lees.
CONTACT – White wine
Moscato Bianco 100% – 11 months in a stainless steel tank on fine lees.
BARBERA D’ASTI DOCG
Barbera 100% – 20 months of aging. 50% aged in a 1000-liter French oak barrel for 12 months. 50% aged in a concrete egg for 6 months.
LANGHE NEBBIOLO DOC
Nebbiolo 100% – Aged for 16 months. 10 months in a concrete egg. 10 months in a 1000-liter French oak barrel.
NIZZA DOCG
Barbera 100% – Aged for 18 months. One year of aging in a 1000- liter French oak barrel.

A wine tasting I would 100% recommend. A small producer of natural wines in the beautiful surroundings of Langhe hills. Robert takes all the time to explain about his tasteful wines, show you around in the yards and the winery. You can tell these people are pursuing their dream with love and passion.

Amazing natural wines! We had a wonderful time with Robert (bob) and his wife. He showed us around their organically grown vineyard.We had a lovely tasting of their pet nats and red wines. They had some very local cheese and sausage to go with it.

Aside of that, the wines are wonderful, you will get to taste some unconventional, yet neat natural wines – our personal favourites were the Nebbiolo and the with PetNat, but all wines were wonderful !

Wat een genot om op deze prachtige wijngaard een rondleiding en proeverij te krijgen van eigenaren Robert en Alice. Een fijne uitleg over de verschillende soorten druiven, de wijngaard, het proces van het wijn maken, om daarna de verschillende wijnen uitgebreid te proeven.
Een heerlijke middag gehad. Als je daar eens in de buurt bent, is dit zeker een aanrader om te bezoeken!
The accommodation is definitely a 12/10, the wines are a 13/10 and Bob & Alice definitely deserve a 15/10. lovely evenings, combined with their awesome wines. Couldn’t be a better vacation! Can’t wait to see you guys again!!! And Oleksiy does such an amazing job, what a nice person, too!!

Robert und Alice sind hervorragende Gastgeber. Die Atmosphäre ist unglaublich schön und friedlich. Ein kleines aber feines Weingut. Sehr persönlich, einfach wunderbar. Die Cracker sind der wahnsinn. Die Weine sind auch lecker und preislich top. Wer nicht ein 0815 gross-weingut sucht ist hier super aufgehoben. Kommen gerne wieder wenn wir in der Region sind.

We had a wonderful experience coming here for our first tasting in the Canelli area. The property is beautiful, Bob was great in telling us about the wines and production, and the wines themselves were delicious. I wish we had room to buy and take even more!
