Founded in 1974 on an old farmhouse dating back to the middle of the 18th century, the Dosio Vigneti winery stands in the heart of Langhe, on the highest point of La Morra, on the Serradenari hill: it is here that the highest Barolo of the entire denomination is born.
The large structure, completely surrounded by the estate’s vineyards, enjoys an enchanting position: at five hundred meters above sea level, the view sweeps over the Cuneo and Turin plains as far as the splendid backdrop of the Alps, from the Maritime Alps to the Rosa Massif. Here, the excellent position – with a completely southern exposure – ensures the right ventilation and temperature for the vineyards, guaranteeing the production of extreme elegance and finesse wines.
The production philosophy is carried forward by pursuing the founding values of quality and tradition, with an eye to innovation and an unavoidable respect for the territory thanks to production and cultivation methods aimed at reducing the impact on the environment as much as possible.
Following nature as closely as possible is in fact the spirit that guides the company’s choices and, in particular, those of vinification: the company follows the principles of integrated pest management on the entire vineyard area, thus implementing sustainable agriculture with a low environmental impact; the same principles are also respected in the cellar, with a low-impact enology that enhances the quality of the raw material at every stage.
These values is attested by SQNPI certification, “Sistema di Qualità Nazionale Produzione Integrata” (National Quality System for Integrated Production). The company currently owns vineyards in important Barolo crus – Ravera, Bussia, Serradenari and Fossati – and the Montersino cru in the Barbaresco area.

(shoes suitable for the vineyard are recommended) it includes a visit to the cellar, passing through the vineyard, where there will be an in-depth study of the work in the vineyard and in the cellar and a focused explanation on how we take care of our vineyards.

J’ai récemment eu le plaisir de visiter cette cave à vin exceptionnelle nichée en haut d’une magnifique petite colline. L’expérience de dégustation de 14 vins soigneusement sélectionnés, y compris les remarquables Barolo, Barbera et Nebbiolo, était tout simplement divine. L’atmosphère rustique de la cave associée à la connaissance et à la passion du personnel a rendu l’expérience encore plus mémorable. Les vins étaient complexes et uniques, reflétant l’incroyable diversité du terroir de la région. C’est une expérience que je recommande vivement à tous les amateurs de vin. Vous en repartirez non seulement avec le goût de l’Italie en bouche, mais également avec une meilleure compréhension de l’histoire et de la culture viticole du Piémont.

Schon das Areal lässt Träumen. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich. Eine junge Dame empfing uns, sehr nett und sehr freundlich. Das Areal ist ein Traum. Eine wunderschöne Aussicht. Dann ging es los. Einige Details über den Weinbau vom Nebbiolo über Barolo. Es war sehr interessant zuzuhören, spannend zugleich. Die Degustazion war hammer. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

We enjoyed the wine tasting a lot. Kudos to Carlotta who was super nice, knowledgeable, and made this experience special. The Dosio wines were incredible and the view from the tasting room was breathtaking. Will definitely come again!

The best wine tasting experience and overall the best wines we had in Barolo! Carlo was amazing and had a great sense of humor besides also being very knowledgeable about wines. Our fav wines were the Barila blend and of course top was Serradenari.

Carlo gave an amazing wine tasting! The best wine tasting I’ve ever attended, and I’ve attended a lot. He really gave us a great overview of Piedmont wines, and, in fact, did it in two languages since the other participants spoke Italian and I spoke English. I cannot recommend him and his wine tasting highly enough. It was a big reason that I bought a case to ship home.

Dosio is a wonderful winery in La Morra, the highest vineyards in the Barolo region. The wine tasting is a real experience, we went on a tour of the vineyards and cellars with Beatrice. She explained the whole process to us. Beatrice is very knowledge and passionate for the wines. The had such an amazing experience in Dosio.
