45 years ago brothers Franco and Carlo Pontiglione and Giuseppe Priola, founded Bel Colle.
The basis of the ideological understanding that inspired the work was the hedonistic concept of producing quality wines respecting the local customs and at the same time satisfying the consumers’ taste. This was achieved thanks to the collaboration with enologist Paolo Torchio who led the winery from 1980 until 2015, the year Bel Colle became part of Bosio Family Estates group.
The Bosio family, has renewed the cellar technologies, without renouncing to the tradition: vinification in steel, refinement of the great red wines in large barrels of French and Slavonian oak.
The company is continuing to grow and today is a real landmark in the wine scene of Langhe. It’s developing both the national and international market. The success is the result of the dedication of a family that, from three generations, spend care, enthusiasm and time to reach special goals; today the soul of the business is Valter Bosio, a real man of the hills, bound to his roots but with an open mind that permits him to study the new situations and answer with tenacity, respecting ethics and territory. Near Valter there is his wife Rosella, that shares with him joys and sorrows, victories and defeats; she manages the administration of the business.
The future of the company is in Luca’s hands, Valter and Rosella’s son, graduate winemaker. He brought a wave of freshness and novelty both in technical and commercial areas. The passion and the university experience are the means by which, with the help of his father and technicians, presents guidelines for the production and marketing.
