Dominating in Piedmont the hills of Monferrato in Lu Monferrato between Casale Monferrato and Alessandria is the Tenuta San Sebastiano by Roberto De Alessi and his son Fabio.
The first settlements in this corner of Monferrato date back to Roman times, as evidenced by the presence of a Romanesque church not far from San Sebastiano, the Pieve di San Giovanni di Mediliano, seat of an ancient “Pagus Mediliani”.
Lying on these sweet and sunny hills is the farm with 10 hectares of land planted with vines.
The vines are the classic ones of the area: Barbera, Grignolino, Cortese and Moscato Bianco, but new vines have also been introduced such as Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Nero, Sauvignon Bianco, Chardonnay and Viognier.
A precise and rigorous commitment to obtain the highest quality levels has been handed down from a long family tradition in viticulture.
To pursue this aim, all efforts have been directed to the rational development of the vineyards, the optimization of the grapes, the introduction of modern technology in the cellar to obtain the best results while respecting the territory and the wine culture of Monferrato.
