The Asti region has been acknowledged over the centuries as an emblem of Italian viticulture and oenology. The Castello del Poggio estate is located in this extraordinary area, once a chosen arena of action for the legendary Knights Templar. The Poggio Le Coste wine is produced at the Castello del Poggio estate.
The estate, which has noble origins, was named after the medieval fortification that once belonged to the Buneis Counts and today it represents the largest single-unit wine company in Piedmont, dedicated to the cultivation of autochthonous vines, including Barbera. which act as emissaries for Piedmont around the world.

We’ll visit the winery and take a walk through the estate to admire the vineyards from where Poggio Le Coste’s excellent wines grow.
The tour includes the view from the Belvedere, overlooking the natural wonder of the vineyard amphitheater within the estate.
We’ll end the tour in the tasting room to savor Poggio Le Coste wines.
A tasting of traditional products – cold cuts and baked goods – is also included

A visit for food lovers and sparkling wine lovers!
We’ll make a brief introduction about the sparkling winemaking process and enjoy a fun tasting — also ideal for an afternoon break — where we’ll discover the excellences of the Asti region compared to those of the Oltrepò Pavese.
In the tasting room, we’ll savor Oltrenero Brut, Brut Rosé and Brut Nature (Oltrepò Pavese DOCG Classic Method) and Moscato d’Asti DOCG, paired with a delicious selection of
traditional Asti and Monferrato desserts.

From Monday to Friday, Tour subject to the availability of the estate winemaker
Accompanied by Poggio Le Coste’s Oenologist, we’ll discover all the characteristics of the Barbera vineyard to understand how agronomic choices can influence the final result.
We’ll take tour the cellar and the barrique room, tasting some wines directly from the barrels, to understand the wine aging process.
We’ll end the tour in the tasting room to savor the final result from the bottle. A delicious Monferrato snack featuring typical local specialties will be served.

I’ve been drinking this wine for years!!! It is the best moscato I’ve ever had! Yes, it costs more than other moscatos from Beringer, Barefoot, Sutter Home, etc… but it also tastes better.

My husband and I went to the Olive Garden for a romantic moment away from the kids. The server brought the wine of the day to the table and it happened to be Castello Del Poggio. I must say….. This is by far the best tasting Moscato I’ve ever had. It slips down the throat so smooth and I just wanted more. Not for the buzz (wink), but for the taste. When I found this Moscato at Kroger and Meijer it made me a very happy girl. And the price is so reasonable.
If you like sweet and smooth Moscato this is a brand you should try.
